You can't afford to have your dream home turn into a nightmare. For a relatively small investment of about $250 to $400 in London you can have peace of mind and a clear understanding of what you are buying.

Today about 50% of all homes sales have a condition for a satisfactory home inspection.

Ensure your inspector is a member of a reputable industry association such as ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and they carry errors and ommissions insurance. Ask for references.

Their service is to thoroughly inspect the home from the roof to the foundation. They'll examine the heating, electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems. They will provide a written report detailing existing or potential problems. It will spell out solutions, costs and maintenance suggestions.

Your home is likely the largest financial investment you'll make. A home inspection should be viewed in the same light as insurance.
